Free Mokhov Release: Halcyon EP

Halcyon EP is a new Mokhov release. It features “Halcyon Days” from the debut album Halcyon Days, a new tune “Soul Link”, and 3 fresh remixes from Mantrakid, The Sundry Light, and Nato. A 5-track package of futuristic-yet-funky and melodic electronic music with gorgeous vibes and great beats.

Halcyon EP is out on Neferiu Records as a pay-what-you-want release (including free).

Californian band NazcarNation released their “Hot Girls” single and it features a Mokhov remix of “Hot Girls Have It So Easy”. This chill hip-hop remix sounds like a cross between Beach Boys and Flying Lotus: futuristic-yet-funky, melodic, and catchy summer-y vocals.

Mokhov Debut Album: Halcyon Days

Mokhov’s Halcyon Days could be one of the best debut electronic albums of all time.

(That might sound ambitious/naive/arrogant, but why not aim big?)

Halcyon Days collects the 9 tunes from Mokhov’s 3 free EPs on the Otium, Catnap, and Dusted Wax Kingdom netlabels and adds a brand new tune, “Eternal Wings”.

The 10 electronic tunes are like a cross between Aphex Twin and Four Tet. With some Boards of Canada and DJ Shadow thrown in. If you like that style of IDM/instrumental hip-hop/downtempo music, this album is for you.
